47 Spark Starters!!
The name Book Sparks came from my realization that books spark amazing
conversations and comments. People can get emotional simply because someone mentioned such and such being a great book.
That emotion may be anything from joy at the memory of a good read or anger at the author for having done something so utterly
evil to a beloved character. Either way, I think we can all safely agree that sparks occur when books are discussed
amongst an intimate circle of friends. You've just read a book and know just the friend you think would
love it, so you set out to inform them about it. You are in the midst of this very "important" conversation about how
she'll just love what Lori did in this book when another friend happens upon your conversation. "Which book are
you talking about? I love Lori; she really knows her stuff." Now there are three people not only discussing Lori
but also discussing Robin and Terri and maybe even Karen. How did this start? Just one person wanting
to tell one other person about this "great book!" See what I mean - a SPARK! One little spark and this fire grows.
I think for women it's a way to connect with new people, especially if they know that those other women like books as
much as they do. Book Sparks it is then. I hope this little corner of the internet will bless you, encourage you,
make you laugh, make you think, and shower you with great reading ideas.
